It was awesome trip where I met few friends and enjoy the Loi Khratong & Full Moon Party!
Since it has been a very long time I didn't update my blog, so today Ill post about my recent trip: PHUKET!
15th November, 2013
Me and my travel buddy; Lanang took a bus from KL Sentral to KLIA via AirportCoach which cost us RM10.00. You have to know that the last trip from KL Sentral is at 1100 PM sharp. What if you can't manage to go to KLIA by bus? I mean you miss the bus? Well, just pay RM 35.00 for the KLIA Express.
16th November 2013
Flight from KLIA departed around 430 AM and arrived at Phuket International Airport around 445 AM local time. Lucky our air carrier is MAS. Free beverage is compulsory for flight above 60 minutes!
From the Phuket International Airport we have to wait for few hours until 800 AM in order to get the local bus to Patong Beach. If you are heading to Phuket Town, maybe the first bus is around 900 AM. You may catch this bas next to the International Arrival. The fare from Phuket International Airport to Patong Beach (Bangla Road) is 120 Baht (around 40 kilometres). I suggest that if you are planning to change all your currency to Thai Baht, better to do it in Patong Beach Area since the rate is much higher! And you have a lot of options there!
Once we reached at Patong Beach (Bangla Road), the first thing we did is, getting a place to stay! Thank God, our Backpackers Buddies Malaysia (BBM) friend suggest us to stay at Cheap Charlies Rooftop Beach Bar & Backpackers Lodge, 54 Nanai Road, Patong Beach, Phuket. How much do we have to pay for the bed? 200 Baht per night!
After check-in, I slept! The first thing that I have to do!
Later on, we went for lunch. FYI, in Patong Beach, the Halal Food here is much more expensive then Phuket Town. If you dont mind spending around 150 baht for your fried rice and tea for each meals, you have two options:
1. Getting a Halal Food at 24/7 mart like 7-11 store or Family Mart. (or maybe vegetarian/seafood)
2. Look for a Halal Food Stall which are outside the tourist area.
For both of us, we found a wet market called Banzaan Market. There is one Halal Food Stall on the top floor which serves a very cheap Halal Cuisine. For 150 Bahts, we can get a bowl of Tom Yam, One Rice and One Nasi Campur! This is pretty awesome! This foodstall open daily from 8 am till 530 pm. For dinner you may try the Halal Food Stall infront of the Banzaan Market. This lady and her husband I think sell Pad Thai and Kau Mook Rice worth 50 Bahts! Very cheap! Banzaan Market is located near to our accommodation.
After lunch, its time for our own activities!
Around 700 PM if I'm not mistaken, there are another 5 persons reach to our place, well, we already planned to meet here. They are travelling overland from KL-Hadyai-Patong Beach by bus! Well, I've done that before last year!
For those who like party, I may say this is the place for you!
Well, I don't have to post here about the best bars to chill or the most vibrant clubs to mingle around. You are far better than me anyway!
After few days 'survive' in Phuket, we fly back home on Monday, 18th November 2013. Our flight is at 545 AM. But then, we took a taxi which is actually the owner of our hostel drove us to the airport. Hassle free I guess! :) We departed from hostel around 200 AM with a cost of 700 Bahts for both of us!
