Assalamualaikum ...
We start our journey on 31st October 2012 and we planned to travel for 40 days roughly. Our first stop is Krabi, Thailand. Along with us to Krabi are a group of other backpackers Adree and geng!
We took a train from KLSentral where we bought the ticket through the net www.ktmb.com.my. We bought two tickets to Hadyai which cost us RM54.00 for sleeping berth lower for one person. It took us almost like 15 hours from KLSentral to Hadyai which will make you feel bored all the way if you dont have anything to entertain you!
Since we met a lot of travellers from Malaysia, we just make friends with them and we have decided to travel together until Krabi!
On our way to Hadyai, we have to get off and on at Padang Besar. Here we need to check-in and out through two immigration department Malaysia and Thailand! Everything seems smooth here as far as you have a valid documentation and you bring nothing doubt in your luggage!
*The food at the Padang Besar Railway Station is quite expensive but still at a normal price! So, enjoy the food there! But if you would like to try the real Thai food, tell your stomach to be patient for another couple hours ok! You may have a simple and cheap Thai food in front of the Hadyai Railway Station then!
Once we touch down at the Hadyai Raiway Station, we have been chased by the 'ulat-ulat tiket' which they claimed that they have the cheapest bus service from Hadyai to Krabi. Well, as usual, dont trust them! Even if they claimed they are Muslim and never will cheating you! Normal bus fare from Hadyai to Krabi is RM30.00 or more or less 300 Baht! They will offer to you for the fare of 350 to 450 baht, makesure you bargain or get together with other travellers! Normally they will charge another 50 baht to Aonang Beach.
As my advice, get together with other traveller and better to go to one place together, either to Aonang Beach or to Krabi town.
*You dont have to make an advanced booking to Krabi or Aonang Beach from Hadyai Railway Station.
Well, below are the pictures for KL-Hadyai-Krabi:
