How stupid I am in Medan ... (3)

Assalamualaikum ...

Today is my second day here ...
I discover a lot of weaknesses about this trip ...
Insyallah this will lead to a better trip sooner dan jugak good back packers ...

What I had discovered?
1. From previous post I did tell you guys that I have totally not planned the trip well ...
Not at all sebenarnya! I found out that the best book/reference that we need to have is ...
Lonely Planet Travellers Guide Book! Because of both of us really decide all the things here based on our kepala hotak jek ...
2. We moved to the new hotel ... masyaallah ... panas banget! Sumpah ... then carik2 punya carik ... kat manalah foreigner duduk ... rupanya kat satu area ... aku tengah online skang ni penuh dgn foreigner ... dan sewa hotel area sini ... paling mahal 100 000 rupiah! Kalau nak yang murah ... hanya balik tido (dah nama traveller, buat apa lepak bilik jek) ... ada yang harga 40 000 rupiah!
Masyaallah ... dan paling mengejutkan, semua hotel yang mat salleh ni duduk adalah hotel-hotel yang telah di advice dalam buku tadi! Menyesal tak beli ... pengajaran!
3. As a traveller, macam aku ni, siam melayu, walaupun aku bermuka asian ... better kalau stay di area foreigner jugak (tempat mat salleh) sebabnya ... kita akan bersatu! Contohnya, petang tadi aku lepak di Sun Plaza, plaza paling up to date kat Medan, tetiba mat salleh ni tanya aku jam berapa dah ... dalam english ... aku jugak jawab dalam english .... tak ada jam ... dia terkejut dan tanya aku local ke? Aku jawab yang aku Malaysian ... then dari situ kami sempat borak sikit2 ... macam sama-sama Malaysian ... sebabnya apa? kami sama-sama foreigner ... so mmg kami kene bersatu ...

Conclusion:

Sebelum travel makesure spend at least one week to read and makesure to stay or mingle around dekat kawasan sama-sama traveller!

Hari ni aku makan KFC ... korang tau tak ... rupenye sini punye menu lain sket dan harganya murah sket! Aku cube satu menu tu namanya .... Yukini Rice tak silap ... MCD pulak ... harganya sama jek dgn Malaysia, tapi ... ada menu yang sediakan nasi!

Apa lagi nak cerita? Nothing much larrr ... the best thing about today ... I'm getting stronger and from now on ... I know the step to travel well ... as back packers ... Ilmu tuh penting! Alhamdulillah!

    jangan lupa beli buku banyak-banyak dan baca banyak-banyak dan amalkan banyak-banyak... jangan pula simpan kat rak banyak-banyak... :P~

Assalamualaikum ... Life after Kinabalu: Meniscus Tear

Assalamualaikum ... I was hiking Mount Kinabalu on end of January 2018. I planned after successful hike the highest mountain in Malaysia I want to start running and hiking again. I did Full Marathons (FM) two times in 2016 and 2017 and planning to do ultra. Four days after, I felt so bad on my right knee. I went to GP and the doctor gave me few medicine for pain relieve and asked me to come back if there's nothing change in the next five days. On the weekend, I went to Cherating Beach with my lovely family and my right knee getting worse! I went see another GP and he told me this is normal and asked me to go for Physio for sort of massage. I get one freelance Physio to come over to my house and she started her procedure. She asked me to see Ortho specialist. I went to Columbia Asia Klang and these are the findings: I had four injuries where the major is Meniscus Tear. The doctor suggest me to do a surgery if time permitted. Marine Engineering Bridging Program

Assalamualaikum ... DONE! It would be the best word to describe when I'm done my 2-year training ... 2 years isn't easy path for me to walk through ... Last week, I get back home after a few weeks struggle for my exams ... Theory exam (Oral Exam) at MARDEP Port Kelang ... MSCR exam (Marine Survical Craft & Rescue) at ALAM Melaka ... and a few courses before and after the exams ... Alhamdulillah ... I passed all the exams ... Now, it is the time for me to apply for my CoC (Certificate of Competency) ... 2 years back ... I remembered when one of the staff from my company said ... 'Your Degree is Useless ... You can burn it!' Phewwww! Just put yourself in my shoes ... :p When I was onboard ship ... Some peoples discriminate me and my buddy ... Just because we have a piece of paper ...
