My Heart Speaks about Medan ... (2)

Assalamualaikum ...

Medan is a typical city ...
I dont explore the night life yet ...
Tune aku dan member tak sama ...
So, I try to approach him to go for good places like Bukit Bintang :p ...

Kalau di medan, the most attraction is Brastagi (2 - 3 hours from here) & Danau Toba (4 - 5 hours from here) ...
But then, me and friend doesnt do any reservation on hotel there ... bimbang takut tak ada accomodation ...since today, tomorrow and a day after is holiday ...
There will be so many peoples there ...
So, I planned to just stay at Medan ... and having fun with foods and shopping!
Even I dunt really like shopping much!

So far,
I have already try ...
1. Sate Padang
2. Esteler

The Food is ok! With a lil bit of spicy ... but I think the place here is not really so much expose of Indonesian culture like all the scene we saw on TV. Why?

1. Normally we heard 'abang' as 'mas' but here 'abang' still pronounce as 'abang'.
2. The food (most of the food) is closely to Malaysian food ...
3. The way they speak, thei slang, is closely to Malaysian ... even I think my friends in Sabah, who are Bugis speaks closely like we used to listen from radio/tv.

What else I can say?

1. This place is not recommended to those who like walking in order to explore the places ... Becak (beca bermotor) is recommended ... But beware k! If you don't want to ride it ... just ignore them ... don't smile and don't say a word ... they will approache you as much as possible ... just talk to the hand (means just say no!).
2. For the time being Im staying at Garuda Citra Hotel, which cost us around 260,000 rupiah per night including breakfast! So cheap kan? But then, like I told you earlier, since we changed our plan to stay in Medan only, we think that it is better to moved to another cheaper hotel ... Sri Deli Hotel, which is located infront of this hotel ... 145, 000 rupiah per night including breakfast! The room is of course equip with air conditioning and TV! So the rest of money we can use to shopping! Huhhhh ... bored!

Well, at the moment, I wish to come back here again and have time & preparation to Brastagi, Danau Toba and who knows I can travel all over Sumatera!

I think I should say that this trip is OK! Since both of us didn't prepare for anything! Hanya beli tiket flight jek ... kekangan waktu untuk exam dan assignments ...

Pictures?

I will upload once I reach my lovely country, Malaysia!

Since I changed the theme of trip to SHOPPING ... I won't state my details of expenses here! :P

Assalamualaikum ...

Assalamualaikum ... DONE! It would be the best word to describe when I'm done my 2-year training ... 2 years isn't easy path for me to walk through ... Last week, I get back home after a few weeks struggle for my exams ... Theory exam (Oral Exam) at MARDEP Port Kelang ... Now, it is the time for me to apply for my CoC (Certificate of Competency) ... 2 years back ... I remembered when one of the staff from my company said ... 'Your Degree is Useless ...
