I dont have a lot of pictures to snap in Bangkok. Most of the time, I rely on my friend's mobile phone.
Mine is full! Its time to get a new memory card for my phone.
We arrived in Bangkok around 1200 hrs. First thing we did was, looking for a muslim food!
For your information, muslim food in Bangkok is not so difficult to get. As long as you are willing to ask people, try to discover yourself and use your sixth sense you will be able to find it! Haha!
In the Hua Lamphong Train Station (Central Train Station in Bangkok), there is a huge food court. You may get a Halal food in one of the booth. Besides, you will find a place called "TEMPAT SEMBAHYANG" or prayer area for Muslim!
Just ask the tourist officer around here, they are willing to help with no charge!
Well, since Ive been here last year during flooding, I know another one place which is located in front of the Hua Lamphong Train Station. The owner can speak in Thai-Malay Golok Style (sort of Oppa Gangnam Style). Since we were too hungry, we choose to eat Omellete (Telur Dadar),Chicken Green Curry, Soup (beef), Chicken (I dont know the name) and some ulam. He charged us 130 Baht! Cheap!
How to get here?
Just walk through the main exit of the Central Train Station Hua Lamphong you will see a 7-Eleven and Hong Kong Noodles. Next to the Hong Kong Noodles there is a way to the MRT station. Walk the other way, you will see a small lane which are 'covered' by the food stall. Take that lane and turn right, walk around 50 meters you will see the restaurant on your left. If you walk ahead, you will see another muslim restaurant on your right, just a few lot shop from the first one. These retaurant are open from morning time until around 5 - 6 pm.
After lunch, we check-in to our hotel. This hotel has a modern style design and absolutely expensive since we are on low budget. We take a shower and head back to the Central Train Station Hua Lamphong looking for a train ticket Bangkok - Butterworth which cost us 1120 Baht per person!
Then, we move to Silom, this place is very popular with a place call PatPong and PatPong Night Market.
We come back to our hotel around 2130 hrs and get rest!
Our first day expenses was:
1. Lunch 130 Baht
2. Hostel 900 Baht (@Hua Lamphong Hotel, just infront of the MRT Station)
3. Train to Silom 72 Baht
4. Dinner 200 Baht
5. Misc 50 Baht
6. Train Bangkok - Butterworth 1120 Baht X2
Im sorry, I dont have pictures for these!
